Our Next Monthly Meeting - June 10th: Gill Wood, Nutritionist
Looking for your next great read and even better company? The Arundel WI Book Club is one of our most active and social groups, perfect for anyone who loves getting lost in a story.
As you'll see below, we explore a diverse range of books, ensuring there is always something fresh on the menu. Our meetings, held roughly every six weeks, are known for their lively conversation and occasional friendly debate—which usually sparks plenty of other tangential chats over a drink and some nibbles. Whether you’re a lifelong bibliophile or just looking to get back into reading, you’ll find a warm welcome here.
As anticipated, this book provoked a lot of discussion. Most of us loved the poetic style and the ways in which the stories interwove. Some found it a little wordy and would have preferred less of the peripheral detail. Our overall score, from 16 votes, was 8.06 out of 10, making it the highest-scoring book we've read so far!
At our meeting in July we'll be discussing A Far-Flung Life by M.L. Stedman (Transworld Digital). Described on Amazon as The 'Australian Gone with the Wind', it promises plenty to chat about.
