Our Next Monthly Meeting - August 5th. Splash Farm, Burpham
Looking for your next great read and even better company? The Arundel WI Book Club is one of our most active and social groups, perfect for anyone who loves getting lost in a story.
As you'll see below, we explore a diverse range of books, ensuring there is always something fresh on the menu. Our meetings, held roughly every six weeks, are known for their lively conversation and occasional friendly debate—which usually sparks plenty of other tangential chats over a drink and some nibbles. Whether you’re a lifelong bibliophile or just looking to get back into reading, you’ll find a warm welcome here.
This beautifully written book provoked so much discussion and threw up a great many questions! M.L. Stedman's description of the Australian Outback, the themes of moral ambiguity and resilience, and a cast of highly-believable, complex characters provided the perfect catalyst for lively conversation. The final score was a high 7/10.
At our meeting in August we'll be discussing Under Water by Tara Menon (Summit Books). Shortlisted for the Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize, 2026, and a Radio 2 Book Club Pick, Under Water is is described as a story about friendship and grief, but also ecological change and natural disasters.
