History

The West Sussex Federation of Women's Institutes came to Arundel in the Spring of 2022 to explore the idea of setting up a WI in Arundel. There had been a very successful WI in Arundel called Green Lane WI which had sadly closed a few years ago.

It was clear from the beginning that there are a lot of wonderful women in Arundel and the surrounding are for which a WI would be the perfect way for meeting new and old friends, learning, sharing skills & experiences, helping others and having a lot of fun at the same time!

From these discussion groups the Arundel WI was formed.

Being part of the Arundel WI Committee

Why not join the committee - we are always looking for new people with fresh ideas and a little time to put them into practise. Speak to any of the Committee Members about what it's like.

Committee Members can be co-opted on during the year, the 'Officers' are voted in every year in March and everyone is welcome to put themselves forward.

The 2024 -2025 Committee

The 2024-5 Committee will comprise of Polly Mutch (President), Pauline Ladd (Secretary), Hannah Parish (Treasurer), Claire Capstick, Lisa Sampson & Wendy Gaunt.

Our role is to organise what happens at Arundel WI meetings, encourage new members to join and help set up groups and administer membership to the National Women's Institute, Regional events and offerings. We are all volunteers and welcome any help, feedback and advice from our members.

The 2023 -2024 Committee

The Committee consists of Polly Mutch (President), Jo Box (Vice President), Laura Longland (Secretary), Hannah Parish (Treasurer), Paula Aldridge, Claire Capstick, Jennie Gray & Wendy Gaunt (Committee Members).

We come from very different backgrounds and experiences from each other but a shared agreement we want to make the Arundel WI a great group to be a part of for all its members!
